History

Yesterday we had elections and Australia got a new government. Liberal (Prime Minister John Howard)lost the elections with 22 seats and several still in doubt.
John Howard not only lost the elections but it looks as he is also losing his own seat. He will be the second prime minister losing his own seat. He is losing it to a former ABC journalist Maxine McKew. Maxine has claimed victory. Good luck to her. She will need it, she has never been in politics, however she was a very good journalist.

Have done this week a bit of quilting. Put blocks from a landscape block swap done in 2006 together. Have still to do the binding.

Landscape swap.

The blocks are from several countries. Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, USA and Australia. The theme was a landscape of your neighbourhood or township.
