Brickwork

Thursdaymorning at 6.30am the bricky came. Was already up at 5am and had started digging for the footing of the carportpoles. One pole had only correct footing in the middle and the other 3 were on the side. Not enough for the footing. So we had to do the footing first. Had to dig quite deep. The brickie went out for concrete and was back within 20 minutes. There is a nursery close by just up the road and they sell concrete. He got the stuff made up and when the holes were deep enough it was poured.

After that he did some cutting of bricks, one of the poles has a pipe with the telephone line in it.

Had a hole in the back where the toilet is and asked if he could fill that. He made everything ready for the next day and left then.

This morning he drove up the drive and it woke me up at 6 am. He started and did quite a bit. Tomorrow or Monday he will be back and finish the job.

There is a chance that the brickwork will interfere with the pipes from the gutters to the watertank and they can break. Have to replace the pipes then, they are a bit brittle after 23 year.

The rubbish bins are gone. They were collected about 8 am.

My vanity base is delivered today.

It is easy to demolish. All you need is a big hammer, screwdriver, nailpuller, saw and a bit of elbowgrease. Agape, would like to visit Italy, when you need me just send an email and I am on my way.
Shirley, there is nobody else how can do it, have learned a quite a bit of my mother she did a lot herself too.
